Year 9 Pathways to the future

This term, as part of our established PSHE programme to support our students’ future pathways, our Year 9 students were invited to take part in workshops dedicated to giving students the confidence to make independent subject choices when selecting their GCSEs, whilst giving them an understanding of the skills, qualities and qualifications needed for their chosen path.

The first session focused on the importance of GCSEs, academic expectations and the available options beyond Post 16 study, whilst the second session focused on university applications with advice and guidance on the costs, benefits and entry criteria.

Six student ambassadors from Bath Spa University also attended the workshops to give first hand advice on their academic experiences, supporting students to make educated decisions on their futures.
