Science Club at St Mark’s
On Tuesday 6 May, three St Mark’s students, Maria, Zac, and Bryan, assisted Mr. Cuthbert and Technician Dr. Helen Sheppard in the first ‘Science at St. Marks’ session. Pupils from St Saviour’s Junior school, St Stephen’s Primary School and Bathampton Primary School attended with their parents.
The children learnt about different gases and how to work out which one was which. They even made carbon dioxide and hydrogen for themselves. At the end of the session Mr Cuthbert exploded a hydrogen balloon that made a very loud bang!
The next session is on Tuesday 20th May from 3.45 to 4.30pm and will be about ‘Electricity’. If any year 7,8,or 9 pupils would like to be involved then please let Dr. Sheppard in the prep room know.
